The Onion Twins have moved away, and left all their troubles behind. And with their fears, they leave their faces and put all their emotions on the pyre. So help me dear, I'm weak again, from changing the way that I act As my face can change to suit my day my insides remain in tact. So take off my face and be done with my heart Peel back the layers of skin 'Til I'm left with no face like the Onion Twins, Nothing to give me away So take away my safety net, and leave me with luck and with chance But so that each passing day can be won or be played so that losing cant happen to pass

The Octopus 04:02
The octopus in all of us raises its weary head, And blows out all the candles that are littered round his bed, and he raises tired tentacles and clearly writes in ink “all my troubles are behind me as I sink into the brink” And every one who stopped and stared noticed he was a little scared, but no one cared and no one tried to comfort him as he did cry And apathy will always be the way that we go We keep ourselves to ourselves we never say hello And so the octopus in all of us says his goodbyes with a final saddened look he sinks into the brine The Octopus in all of us is gone The octopus in all of us clearly never said, whether it had found his love and told her he was dead Since he's gone its been a while and we haven’t asked why, Our eight-legged friend joined the sea life in the sky

Oh, my fellow countrymen, cast aside your demons and pick up your pen, and write that awful letter you've been meaning to write, take up arms against the man who would have made you fight. Smoke your god damn cigarettes and drink all you want, give up on your five a day and your cereal bars chat up the girl that at the bar she won't be there for long and she might be the one you love and she might love you back Oh my love you've made me love again, I'm not the evil cynic that I was when we first met You took me in your arms and you took me to your bed and you made me love you like I'll never love no one again Oh my fellow countrymen, raise your flag up high and be proud of yourself Because if we can beat the nazis we can take up arms again and fight those who put us down and fight them yet again and although I may not have a job and I've never won a fight you know I'll always be there darling standing by your side I'll never be a sporting hero and I'll never save the world but by god darling I'll help you fight that spider in the night
4.
Pick up your rifle son, wear it with pride You’ll be needing to battle on, the fields of the rhine And hold back your tears girl, have a stiff upper lip he’s fighting for freedom, for what we believe in The country it needs you to carry straight on to have unwavering faith in the course that we’re on and dig for your victory and fight till your death give them no quarter and take none yourself The boy he leaves on the next train to France And the girl she believes that he won’t be coming back And that his body will be burned and returned to mother earth on the fields where flowers will grow Boy in your letters, your letters back home say you’ll be back in time for the first snow to fall Tell the girl you love to keep warm by the fire and you’ll be with her soon to bless her with child But now pick up that rifle and stand man to man We’re over the top lads lets get ‘em while we can Girl in your letter say your faithful in life how you’d stand by his side and tell god your his wife but now burn it to ashes post it to the earth let it join him in resting beneath german dirt Get on with your life now he’s not coming back there’s a country to get back on the right track So get out and get married there are babies to be born born into a world where there will be no more wars
5.
Boats 04:00
The boats are in the harbour, waiting to set sail And it feels like if you don't jump on they will leave forever But Boats, they come and go with Boats, you'll never know Boats, they sail the seven seas and Boats will be there for me Are you sure you want to leave? next high tide I see holes in lots of ships they might sink and die. When you're sure you want to leave, tell me when you go I want to see you off darling, to the depths you go
